Housekeeper

We are looking for a Housekeeper with a commitment to making a difference for others. Your primary duty is to ensure the gentlemen in our care are loo0ked after in a hospital that is a safe and clean environment which complies with health and safety standards, going beyond the day-to-day and making it a home from home for the gentlemen in our care.

Ashness House is a 26 bed highly specialised mental health unit providing treatment for men with complex needs.

Your day-to-day activities are to:

undertake daily housekeeping activities to include appropriate cleaning of all bedrooms, patient areas and offices.
working in conjunction with the rest of the team to plan, organising and deliver cleaning service to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness.
To monitor, check and maintain standards of cleanliness within all areas of the hospital on a daily basis.
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
Ensures the proper maintenance of all equipment
To report any maintenance problems.
To ensure that linen is at the standards required and that distribution within the hospital it is done correctly.
To manage all site waste disposal and collection including clinical and confidential waste.
To maintain a professional and helpful attitude whilst on duty.
