Construction Plant Competence Scheme. The UK's nationally recognised card scheme for construction plant operators, administered by CITB. Demonstrates that a plant operative has met competency standards for a specific category of plant machinery.
Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. The statutory framework governing all lifting operations and lifting equipment used at work in the UK, including cranes. Employers and contractors must ensure lifting operations are planned, supervised and carried out safely.
A method statement for lifting operations. Required under LOLER, a lift plan specifies the methodology, equipment, personnel, load weights, crane capacities, exclusion zones and risk controls for each lifting operation.
