Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Reading & Interpreting Drawings: Accurately read engineering and workshop drawings, schedules, and bending schedules to determine the type, size, and quantity of reinforcement required for each structural element.
- Fabrication & Bending: Operate bar-bending and cutting machinery to prepare rebar to the precise specifications, shapes, and lengths as per the project requirements.
- Fixing & Tying: Manually place, position, and securely tie steel reinforcement using wire and pliers within formwork, ensuring correct spacing, lap lengths, and cover as specified. This includes complex structures like pile caps, ground beams, and suspended slabs.
