  • Precision Engineering & Manufacturing: Companies producing high-tolerance components for automotive, aerospace, and medical devices.
  • Electronics & Technology: Firms involved in PCB assembly, consumer electronics, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices: With several science parks in the area, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environments are common.
  • Food & Beverage Production: Ensuring products meet safety and quality standards for major brands.
  • Plastics & Packaging: Manufacturers producing moulded or extruded products that require dimensional and visual checks.

Our role as a local agency is to match your specific industry experience with the right client. For example, while we're recruiting for this engineering role now, we also place staff in sectors like hospitality, demonstrating our broad reach.

Absolutely. While CMM experience is a desirable skill for some advanced roles, a strong foundation in manual inspection techniques is the core requirement for many positions. Your proficiency with micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and optical comparators is highly valuable.

We assess each candidate's skill set against the specific requirements of the client. If a role requires CMM operation, we will make that clear. However, many of our clients prioritise a solid understanding of drawings, GD&T, and a meticulous approach. Your willingness to learn new technologies like CMM can also be a significant advantage for future roles and career progression.

Speed is one of our key advantages. For urgent roles like this Quality Control Inspector position, the process can be remarkably fast:

  • Day 1: You submit your CV via email or our website.
  • Within 24 Hours: A consultant reviews your application and contacts you for a telephone screening if you're a good match.
  • Day 2-3: Successful telephone interview leads to submission of your details to the client. Client interviews can sometimes be arranged within the same week.
  • Compliance: Once confirmed, we expedite your registration, right-to-work checks, and any required onboarding. This can often be completed within 1-2 days.

In many cases, a candidate can be from application to first day on site in less than a week for non-specialist roles. For roles requiring specific clearances or inductions, it may take slightly longer. We pride ourselves on being one of the top temp agencies for efficient placement.

Temporary (Temp): You are employed by Quick Placement and assigned to work at our client's site for a fixed period or for the duration of a specific project. You receive pay and accrued holiday pay from us. This offers great flexibility.

Temp-to-Perm: This arrangement begins as a temporary assignment with a clear understanding from both the client and candidate that there is a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent after a mutually agreed trial period (often 12-16 weeks). It's a"try before you buy" approach for both parties.

Your Rights: As a temporary worker employed by Quick Placement, you are entitled to all statutory employment rights, including the National Minimum Wage, paid holiday accrual, and a safe working environment. We ensure you receive a Key Information Document outlining your pay, hours, and benefits. You are also covered by our employer's liability insurance. If a temp-to-perm role becomes permanent, your employment contract transfers from Quick Placement to the end client, often with continuity of service.
